Group Therapy for Charity and Third Sector Clients
We facilitate Group Therapy which can be tailored to meet the needs of your clients and organisation
Group therapy can be a valuable opportunity to share experiences, develop peer support and explore difficulties with others in the presence of an experienced therapist. Members decide what they want to talk about and have an opportunity to deal with personal issues as well as those that may arise from the group.
Group interaction provides an opportunity for individuals to learn more about the way they interact with others.
Group members will probably be most helped and satisfied if they talk about their feelings. It is important to keep in mind that group members determine how much they disclose in a group.
Members make a commitment to attend the group on a regular basis, at the same day and time each week, for a fixed number of sessions and keep the content of the sessions confidential.
Group therapy can help individuals to:
- Develop a greater sense of self awareness
- Off load and gain different perspectives in a safe and supportive environment
- Increase their confidence and self esteem
- Reduce their isolation
- Try out new ways of behaving in a safe environment
